# Overview (/models)

Fieldgeist trains its own models, and its products are built on them. A model runs inside the request that needs it, at the edge, so there is no separate model service to call or wait on.

| Model | Reads | Used by | Current version |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [US-LEX-1](/models/us-lex-1) | US addresses written as free text, labeled with USPS Publication 28 components | [Verify](/verify) parse | 0.1.0 |

## Versions [#versions]

Every answer a model produces names the model and its version (in Verify parse responses, the `model` field). New versions are listed in the [changelog](/changelog), tagged **Model**. Responses keep the same fields from one version to the next; what can change is how an input is read.

## How models improve [#how-models-improve]

Fieldgeist retrains its models on new data. Misreads found in evaluation are reviewed by people before each training round. If a model misreads something, email support@fieldgeist.com with the request ID (the `x-request-id` header) and what you expected.
